Dust mites love the humid environment. The more the moisture and dampness at a place, the higher the chances of dust mite growth. Thus, the installation of a high-quality dehumidifier can be an amazing way to lower down the level of moisture and humidity from the air.

Here’s how a typical dehumidifier works.

A dehumidifier entraps vapors from the surrounding air and changes them into liquid form in the tank inside. A ventilation fan at the opening of the dehumidifier captures the vapors and pass them through a channel of cooling coils. These cooling coils convert the physical form of vapors into the liquid form. Then the moisture-free air is ejected back in the room by passing it through the channel of heating coils.

I love the list of products you have listed to fight dust mites. They are everywhere, my son has a constant nose drip and sore throat. We have changed quite a few things for him, namely bedding. But still would like to more to dust mite proof his room.

I like the Ultrasonic Dust Mite Controller as it seems to require the least amount of work. Will the UV waves affect my son at all?

    Hi Jagi,

I believe you meant ultrasonic waves, they are not UV. UV stands for ultraviolet. Ultrasonic waves don’t harm humans.

I am glad you mentioned the dust mite symptoms here because some people may mistaken their symptoms for other things.

These are some good resources to combat this problem. I had no idea that essential oils could help.

I would like to purchase the spray and give it a try. This is a great resource and I have bookmarked it for myself.
